Most Disliked
While Nelsons BurgerBar has many strengths, parking can be challenging during peak hours due to its prime location near local universities. Some diners report waiting for a table during busy times, especially on game days or the popular video game tournaments held on Mondays. Although the service is generally swift, a few reviews mention occasional slowness during peak lunch periods, leading to longer wait times for food. Additionally, while the craft beer selection is appreciated, the absence of certain drafts like IPAs on tap can be disappointing for beer enthusiasts. Ultimately, the occasional crowd can detract from the overall dining experience, but the delicious food often makes up for the inconveniences.

While in town on a college tour one of the students wanted burgers. We were staying at the Hyatt and found that this place was in walking distance. It was a good pick. Nice personal space. They happen to be having some kind of video game tournament there (said it's every Monday) but that didn't bother us because we sat at the bar. If not, space would have been limited to sit at the tables. Starr was manning things and was very friendly. It took no time for our orders to come up and we really enjoyed our food. He got the mushroom burger and it was huge. I got the western. My burger was hot and juicy. Ans my crinkle fries were cooked just right. I will not that although this is a "burger" spot they had a good bit of variety to the menu. I wasn't expecting that. They also serve alcohol if you want to wash your food down with an adult beverage. If you are near FAMU or FSU check them out

Decided to go to Nelson's today because of all the posts. It was delicious! Parking was a little difficult, but worth the food. Service was on point. Drinks refilled right away without asking. Condiments brought out without asking. Food hot and fresh. Honestly, my favorite was the coleslaw. Burgers cooked well, but still juicy. No IPA's on draft, but they had canned. Check them out! Came out to about $50 with tip for two people.

I’m staying at the aloft hotel downtown and wanted a good burger so I decided to DoorDash and came across Nelson’s Burger Bar. I ordered the Nelson burger. I added sautéed mushrooms, bacon and blue cheese dressing. I went with a double patty, which is probably too much but this burger is probably the best burger I’ve ever had in my life! I haven’t tried any other burgers, but I’m sure they’re just as fabulous. The baked beans pass my test and usually the only baked beans I like are the the ones I make myself and these are almost like the ones I make at home excellent!

Came in on a Saturday game day, a few hours before kick off. We had no problem getting a table and the service was fast and friendly. The food was exceptional and very well-priced. This may be our new pre-game spot, we will definitely be back!! We had the mushroom swiss burger, the chicken bacon ranch wrap and the buffalo chicken wrap. We all loved our entrees and they were all very big portions!

Stopped on for a quick bite and was not disappointed. The weather was lovely enough to sit outside as well. We ordered Mozzarella Sticks for appetizers, and I ordered the Luau Burger which was super delicious. The grilled pineapple and Teriyaki sauce really brought it together. This is definitely a great place to check out!

One of the best burgers I've had for a while. Had a triple, which I was told was 1/3 pound and was easily double that. Huge. But juicy throughout. Could have used a sturdier bun given how big the burgers were but not complaining too much!
